2017.5.12 UPDATE: TOUGH WEEK, BUT WORTH EVERY MINUTE OF IT

WOW!  Folks,

This was a tough week, but it was worth every minute.  Not only did I handle a record number of orders, but I tackled a lot of other stuff that has been getting pushed aside.  Let me tell you about it.

RECORD NUMBER OF ORDERS

I started the week with about a dozen orders still hanging on from the sale two weekends ago, and then I had all the orders you guys placed for the new soft-skin products.  And WOW!  Do you guys like the soft-skin stuff!  I took another dozen or so orders throughout the week, accepted several “off books” orders and — on top of all this — I had a dealer order.  Well, except for a few orders waiting on a specific mold to be replaced, I managed to handle all of it.  When God is good, he is really good — and He was very good to me this week.  I doubt I could have handled it without His help, so I am very grateful: to Him and to all of you who trust and believe in me enough to spend your hobby dollars with me and TMD.  Thank you!  🙂

OTHER STUFF

In addition to handling a record number of individual orders, I managed to clean up some lingering tax issues; some old emails, made a few molds I needed to make; cleaned up the shop a bit more; ordered in more supplies and worked my way through some old kits and other items I will be taking to the Louisville show next week.  All-in-all, I have had a tough week, but it sure feels good to know all of this is behind me.

THIS NEXT WEEK

OK, now to get serious.  There will be a few more items coming from the 2 1/2 ton truck project at the end of this month.  I also have some small detail items for German modelers that I hope to get done.  However, my primary focus is going to be on the F3 Late Famo conversion.  I’m not sure if I can pull it off, but I am going to try to have this conversion finished by May 26.  I want to keep my word to the guys who pre-ordered this kit — period!

LOUISVILLE SHOW

As an aside, there is an IMPS show in Louisville next weekend.  I’ll be there, but not as a vendor.  I’m going as Joe modeler.  Hope to see you there.

THAT IS ALL

There are some more H-U-G-E things going on in the background around here, but — for now — I’m going to keep quiet about them.  Just know that BB is on the move again and, this time, she is trying to envelope the whole Russian bear in one giant pincer move LOL.  Until there is more news, you stay safe and try to build something (preferably something using TMD resin).
