In my last update, I told you my back had gone out.  Well, things are not getting better.  In fact, they are getting worse.  But I am trying to take care of those few of you who are still waiting for your orders.

I have a bad back, so having my back go out on me is nothing new.  However, this time I am experiencing something I’ve never experienced before.  I’ve done everything that normally works.  I have taken my meds, taken things easy and laid flat as much as possible, but my back is not improving.  In fact, the pain is getting worse.  BB took me to the doctor yesterday and I found out that I am suffering from additional complications brought on by the medications I use to treat my back.  So now I have more meds and some physical therapy I have to do.  As many of you may know, that physical therapy is something very close to torture.  But I’m doing my best to follow orders.  Still, some things are absolute torture for me right now, and sitting at the desk to write this update is one of them.

I managed to ship 7 orders this week.  I still have five left.  Those five are either large orders that are taking time to fill because I can only work in the shop for short periods of time before I have to take a break, or they are waiting on the new A13 deck mold.  If you are waiting on the A13 deck, it may be a while longer.  I simply cannot mix the rubber to pour that new mold.  That requires a lot of lateral torquing motion when you mix the rubber and that lateral movement makes me see funny colors and pass out.  I am sooo sorry about this.  It was not planned.  But I WILL get your orders shipped as soon as my back will let me.

If you are wondering whether or not you should place an order while I am down in the back, please don’t worry.  If you don’t mind waiting a few days more than usual, I will still get your order filled and shipped.  Remember, guys, I may be hurting, but I’ll be hurting even worse if the orders stop — even if you are waiting because you think it will help.  I need to keep working so I can keep paying the bills.  Us one-man shows aren’t eligible for workers comp, disability or AFLAC ducks 🙂

Guys, I am getting your emails, and I am trying to answer them, but I can only get to a couple at a time.  Sitting in a chair for too long is painful.  I need to either lay flat or stand, and my shop/office is no longer configured to work standing up.  Please be patient.  I’ll get to you.

If you are wondering about how things are going on the sale of our house and purchase of the new place, BB has everything done.  All we need now is for someone to buy our place so we can get going.  I just hope my back snaps back into place before we get an offer.

OK, I need to go lay down for a bit now.  I’ll keep you guys posted.  Until next time, stay safe and try to build something (preferably something using TMD resin).

Hi Joe. Hang in there mate. I’m in no hurry for the order I had placed, so don’t sweat it.

Hope the back ‘click’s back soon.

Hang in there Joe it will get better. I just went through the same thing with my back and doctors in the last week or so. I have a regular pharmacy in my cupboard after last time to emergency last week. I can’t take two of the meds but the pain killer got me through and I am actually feeling better. God bless you with healing soon.
