It’s Nov 10th.  That means it is my second birthday: the birthday of the United States Marine Corps.  Born this day in 1775 in a place called Tun Tavern.  Born drinking and rabble-raising in a bar and true to that spirit ever since.  Happy Birthday, Marines!  Now for the rest of what was a decidedly mixed week.

BB had the flue this week.  Her first time ever with the bug.  From last Sunday until her fever broke in the wee hours of Thursday morning, my poor wife was a hurting puppy.  She even passed out and collapsed on the floor one time when I was in the other room.  Needless to say, my attention was divided this week — and for good reason.  Without BB to hold this house together, things would quickly fall apart: in my world, and with TMD.

I have only 1 outstanding order waiting to be filled!  URAH!  Of coarse, this does not count the A13 debacle, but the guys waiting on those items have been emailed and they know the reason for the delay.  They have also been told how I intend to reward their patient loyalty.  On the up-side, the mold problems have finally been resolved and I am currently casting for those outstanding orders.  THIS TIME, I should have them all out on Monday (the Veteran’s Day holiday will keep the mail from running tomorrow).

I managed to bang away at some other chores I have been putting off these past few months.  The master room is almost finished.  I just have some cosmetic/trim work left and I’ll have my benches as organized as I know to make them — for now (I am constantly tinkering with my layout).

I have the new photo booth in house and will set it up this weekend.  With a bit of luck (and some serious practice), my pictures might even get better, as this is a much better booth.  We’ll see.

And I managed to get a little organizing and cleaning done in the shop — but not enough.  There’s still a long way to go there.

I didn’t get to master much this week.  My free time was spent watching after my wife.  However, I anticipate a solid five days of mastering this coming week.  If that happens, I should have some surprises for you next Friday.  We’ll just have to see how things go.

Well, that’s all I have for you right now.  Thanks for stopping by to check up on me.  Until next week, stay safe and try to build something (preferably something using TMD resin).

  1. Happy birthday bro. I hoe BB is over that flu by now. That bug is tough on anyone.

  2. Your priorities are correct. Health first, yours and hers . THEN you can get to the rest of it .
Getting one’s work space always seems to be a never ending process doesn’t it? Trying to do mine so I get more than bits and pieces done before I lose them .

Looking forward to next week as well.

  3. Hey Joe, once again my order has gone to the old address. I just got back to my computer and email again only to see that three days ago my package was delivered to the old address in Jackson, Mississippi that I have asked you to change twice. I suspect Stamps is to blame. Please send the order again, I will call the old address and tell them to return to sender. I can’t keep driving to another town and the old place of employment to pick up packages.

    • Cliff,

I have changed that address in stamps, and verified it???? I am going to totally delete your listing and re-enter your address. I’ll also get to work on replacing your order. You are correct: you should not have to fix my mistakes.

Thanks for letting me know about this.
