It’s Nov 10th. That means it is my second birthday: the birthday of the United States Marine Corps. Born this day in 1775 in a place called Tun Tavern. Born drinking and rabble-raising in a bar and true to that spirit ever since. Happy Birthday, Marines! Now for the rest of what was a decidedly mixed week.
BB WAS SICK
BB had the flue this week. Her first time ever with the bug. From last Sunday until her fever broke in the wee hours of Thursday morning, my poor wife was a hurting puppy. She even passed out and collapsed on the floor one time when I was in the other room. Needless to say, my attention was divided this week — and for good reason. Without BB to hold this house together, things would quickly fall apart: in my world, and with TMD.
I have only 1 outstanding order waiting to be filled! URAH! Of coarse, this does not count the A13 debacle, but the guys waiting on those items have been emailed and they know the reason for the delay. They have also been told how I intend to reward their patient loyalty. On the up-side, the mold problems have finally been resolved and I am currently casting for those outstanding orders. THIS TIME, I should have them all out on Monday (the Veteran’s Day holiday will keep the mail from running tomorrow).
I managed to bang away at some other chores I have been putting off these past few months. The master room is almost finished. I just have some cosmetic/trim work left and I’ll have my benches as organized as I know to make them — for now (I am constantly tinkering with my layout).
I have the new photo booth in house and will set it up this weekend. With a bit of luck (and some serious practice), my pictures might even get better, as this is a much better booth. We’ll see.
And I managed to get a little organizing and cleaning done in the shop — but not enough. There’s still a long way to go there.
I didn’t get to master much this week. My free time was spent watching after my wife. However, I anticipate a solid five days of mastering this coming week. If that happens, I should have some surprises for you next Friday. We’ll just have to see how things go.
THAT IS ALL
Well, that’s all I have for you right now. Thanks for stopping by to check up on me. Until next week, stay safe and try to build something (preferably something using TMD resin).
