I hope you’re all having a good summer. I know I have been. I needed my ‘working vacation.’ But — at least for me — the summer is starting to wind down and I can already feel those little prangs of desire poking me in the back of my mind, screaming “Let’s get back to work!”
In case you’re interested, I have a ton of stuff up on EBay right now. 1/35 armor, 1/48 aircraft, 1/350 ships, after market, references and more. Most of it is at decent prices, too. Some prices are borderline fire-sale! You can check it all out here:
Next Friday — come heck or high water — I WILL have a bunch of new stuff for you, and all of it from Karl. I couldn’t quite make myself finish the Panther stowage sets, but I will have almost a dozen items for you Sherman/U.S. fans. Make sure you check them out next week.
PRODUCTS UNDER DEVELOPMENT
I am going to clear my bench and get back to work on the Panther kits. I still have close to a dozen things I want to make for the stowage on these vehicles. After that, I want to get down to the real work, like making new fenders, bent up storage boxes for the rear hull, good schurzen and hanger sets, tools — to include the many different configurations that the plastic guys always seem to miss, plus a whole lot more. So, as you see, I am going to be getting busy again, and it will be just in time to meet the new Panther D kits that Takom will soon release (sorry, I’ve tried, but I just can’t get excited about the Meng kits. There’s nothing wrong with them! They just don’t do it for me – Joe).
The sale started fairly slow, so I was able to keep up with the orders. I think the oldest order in house right now is only a week old? But you guys are stampeding right now, and I have to make a few molds, so things will be a little slow getting out of here next week — especially since I have a date with some big cast Tuesday.
This is pretty much over. Time for me to get back to work.
I was in a bit of a bad place a few months ago. The easiest way to say it is I was close to burning out again. But I did things differently this time and it seems to have worked. I’ll have to remember this because, not only am I feeling better, I actually want to get back to work. During my little working break, I was able to get some of the lingering chores done around the new property, and that helped, too. So, all-in-all, I feel better than I have in a while. Now it’s time to get going again.
THAT IS ALL
Well, that’s all I have for now. So, until next week, stay safe and try to build something (preferably something using TMD resin).
